FISHERIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1995 (SOUTHERN REGIONAL FISHERIES COMMISSION) ORDER, 1998.

I, MICHAEL WOODS, Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 9 (1) of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1995 (No. 27 of 1995), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ) (as adapted by the Marine (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 301 of 1997 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1995 (Southern Regional Fisheries Commission) Order, 1998.

2. The period for which the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1995 (Southern Regional Fisheries Commission) Order, 1996 ( S.I. No. 51 of 1996 ), as extended by Section 5 of the Fisheries (Commissions) Act, 1997 (No. 1 of 1997), shall remain in force is hereby extended until the 31st day of December, 1998.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order extends the term of office of the Southern Regional Fisheries Commission until 31st December, 1998.
