DECOMMISSIONING ACT, 1997 (SECTIONS 5 AND 6) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1998.

DECOMMISSIONING ACT, 1997 (SECTIONS 5 AND 6) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1998.

I, JOHN O'DONOGHUE, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 9 (2) of the Decommissioning Act, 1997 (No. 3 of 1997) (as adapted by the Justice (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 298 of 1997 )) hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Decommissioning Act, 1997 (Sections 5 and 6) (Commencement) Order, 1998.

2. The 30th day of June, 1998, is hereby fixed as the day on which sections 5 and 6 of the Decommissioning Act, 1997 (No. 3 of 1997), shall come into operation.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 29th day of June, 1998.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order brings sections 5 and 6 of the Decommissioning Act, 1997 into operation.
