NATIONAL TREASURY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (DELEGATION OF FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1999.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 5 of the National Treasury Management Agency Act, 1990 ( No. 18 of 1990 ), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the National Treasury Management Agency (Delegation of Functions) Order, 1999.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 21st day of July, 1999.

2. The functions of the Minister for Finance under section 213 of the Finance Act, 1999 ( No. 2 of 1999 ), are hereby delegated to the National Treasury Management Agency.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

As provided for in Section 5 of the National Treasury Management Agency Act, 1990 and Section 213 of the Finance Act, 1999 , this Order delegates to the National Treasury Management Agency the statutory power of the Minister for Finance to discharge the liabilities in respect of certain borrowings by the Minister for Agriculture and Food.
