FISHERIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1999 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1999

I, MICHAEL WOODS, Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1(2) of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1999 (No. 35 of 1999) , hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1999 (Commencement) Order, 1999.

2. The 20th day of December, 1999, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1999 , except section 23 of that Act, shall come into operation.

This Order brings the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1999 (No. 35 of 1999) , except section 23 of that Act, into effect from 20th December 1999.
