COMHAIRLE ACT, 2000 (ESTABLISHMENT DAY) ORDER, 2000.

The Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Comhairle Act, 2000 ( No. 1 of 2000 ), orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Comhairle Act, 2000 (Establishment Day) Order, 2000.

2. The 12th day of June 2000 is appointed to be the establishment day for the purposes of the Comhairle Act, 2000 (No. 1 of 2000) .

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

This Order provides that the 12th day of June, 2000 shall be the day of establishment of the new body Comhairle which will replace the National Social Service Board and certain functions of the National Rehabilitation Board.
