NATIONAL BEEF ASSURANCE SCHEME ACT, 2000 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, (No. 2) OF 2000.

I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1(5) of the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 (No. 2 of 2000) , hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 (Commencement) Order, ( No. 2 of 2000 ).

2. The 22nd day of December 2000, is hereby appointed as the day on which sections 20 to 22 of Part II of the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 shall come into operation.

The effect of this Order is to bring into operation sections 20 to 22, of the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 , regarding a cattle census, movement notifications to CMMS and the issue of movement permits under the Act.
