I, Séamus Brennan, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 25(1) of the Statistics Act, 1993 (No.21 of 1993) , and the Statistics (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 327 of 1997 ), and for the purpose of giving fuller effect to Council Regulation (EC) No. 530/1999 of 9 March 19991 , hereby order as follows: |

1. This Order may be cited as the Statistics (Labour Costs in Industry and Services) Order, 2001. |

2. This Order applies to all undertakings classified for statistical purposes under sections C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J and K of the Classifications of Economic Activities in the European Community (set out in the Annex to Council Regulation (EEC) No. 3037/90 of 9 October 19902 , as amended by Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 761/93 of 24 March 19933 ), which employ 10 or more persons. |

3. An undertaking to which this Order applies is hereby required to provide the Central Statistics Office with information in relation to the labour costs of the undertaking, and in particular the information specified in Article 6 of Council Regulation (EC) No. 530/1999 of 9 March 19994 , in accordance with directions under section 26 of the Statistics Act, 1993 ( No. 21 of 1993 ). |
