Horse and Greyhound Racing Act, 2001 (Establishment Day) Order, 2001.

I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act, 2001 (No. 20 of 2001) , hereby order as follows:

1.       This Order may be cited as the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act, 2001 (Establishment Day) Order, 2001.

2. The 18th day of December, 2001, is appointed as the establishment day for the purposes of the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act, 2001 (No. 20 of 2001) .

Explanatory Note.

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

This Order sets the establishment day provided for in section 3 of the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act, 2001 for the commencement of most of the main provisions of the Act.
