I, Martin Cullen, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13(2) of the Aer Lingus Act 2004 (No. 10 of 2004), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Aer Lingus Act 2004 (Commencement of Section 6) Order 2006. 2. The 24th day of August 2006 is appointed as the day on which section 6 (other than subsection (2)) of the Aer Lingus Act 2004 (No. 10 of 2004) comes into operation. |

The purpose of this Order is to commence Section 6 (other than subsection (2)) of the Aer Lingus Act 2004 concerning the number of directors of the Company and of worker directors under the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Acts 1977 to 2001. |
