DISTRICT COURT DISTRICT AND AREAS (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2007

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

The Courts Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 26 of the section 43 of the section 16 of the section 29 of the Courts Service Act 1998 (No. 8 of 1998) and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby orders as
follows:
|
|
|
1. (a) This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) Order 2007.
|
|
|
(b) This Order shall come into operation on 1st January 2008.
|
|
|
2. The First Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order 1961 ( S.I. No 5 of 1961 ) is hereby amended by-
|
|
|
(a) The deletion at references 4, 132, 165, 168, 196, 241, 264 and 265 of the matter in column (4)
|
|
|
and
|
|
|
(b) The substitution for the matter in column (4) at each of the following references 1, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 120, 123, 124, 125, 128, 131, 164, 166, 167, 188, 190, 191, 195, 197, 198, 199, 200, 245, 256, 257, 258, 259, 260, 261, 263 and 267 of the matter in column (4) at each of the same references in the attached First Schedule.

3. The Second Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ) is hereby amended by-

|
(a) The deletion at references 4, 12, 116, 144, 147, 166, 207 and 225 of the matter in column (4)
|
|
|
and
|
|
|
(b) The substitution for the matters in column (4) at each of the following references 1, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 104, 107, 108, 109, 112, 115, 143, 145, 146, 161, 162, 163, 165, 197, 168, 169, 170, 210, 217, 218, 219, 220, 221, 222, 224 and 227 of the matter in column (4) at each of the same references in the attached Second Schedule.

4. Business transacted in the District Court that is initiated and not completed before commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.
