ANIMAL REMEDIES (POISONS ACT 1961) REGULATIONS 2007

I, MARY COUGHLAN, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8(5) of the Animal Remedies Act 1993 (No. 23 of 1993) (as adapted by the Agriculture and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2007 ( S.I. No. 705 of 2007 )), after consultation with the Animal Remedies Consultative Committee, Comhairle na Nimheanna and the Minister for Health and Children, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Animal Remedies (Poisons Act 1961) Regulations 2007 and come into operation on 1 January 2008.

2. The provisions required by Regulations made under section 14 (as amended by the section 15 of the Poisons Act 1961 do not apply to animal remedies.

These Regulations provide that the provisions of Regulations made under section 14 and section 15 of the Poisons Act 1961 do not apply to animal remedies.
