Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in |

|
The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 3 and 31(1) of the Local Government Act 1991 (No. 11 of 1991) (as adapted by the Environment and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2003 ( S.I. No. 233 of 2003 )) hereby orders as follows: |

1. This Order may be cited as the Shannon Town Boundary Alteration Order 2008. |
||
|
2. This Order shall come into operation on 1 January 2009. |
||
|
3. The areas shown as “relevant areas” on the map attached to this Order titled “Shannon Town Council” and date stamped 2 December 2008 shall be included in and form part of Shannon Town and the boundary of Shannon Town shall accordingly stand altered in accordance with that map. |

This Order extends the boundary of Shannon Town from 1 January 2009. It should be read together with a separate Order, the Shannon Town Boundary Alteration (Supplementary) Order 2008 ( S.I. No. 558 of 2008 ) which contains supplementary provisions related to the boundary extension. |
