HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (REDUCTION OF PAYMENTS IN RESPECT OF SERVICES UNDER THE NATIONAL CERVICAL SCREENING PROGRAMME) REGULATIONS 2009

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

"Iris Oifigiúil" of 8th May, 2009.

I, MARY HARNEY, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 9 and 10 of the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest Act 2009 (No. 5 of 2009), having complied with subsections (4) and (7) of section 9 and subsections (4) and (5) of section 10, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health Professionals (Reduction of Payments in respect of services under the National Cervical Screening Programme) Regulations 2009.

2. These Regulations shall apply to payments in respect of services rendered by a health professional on behalf of the National Cancer Screening Service Board under a contract for the provision of smear taking services as part of the National Cervical Screening Programme.

3. From the date of the making of these Regulations, the amount that shall be paid in respect of each time a service referred to in Regulation 2 is rendered shall be €51.69.

The Minister for Finance consents to the foregoing Regulations.
