PHARMACY ACT 2007 (SECTION 64(9)) ORDER 2009

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

"Iris Oifigiúil" of 28th July, 2009.

I, MARY HARNEY, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 64(9) of the Pharmacy Act 2007 (No. 20 of 2007) hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Pharmacy Act 2007 (Section 64(9)) Order 2009.

2. The 1st day of May 2010 is appointed as the day on which section 64(9) of the Pharmacy Act 2007 (No. 20 of 2007) shall take effect.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order sets the date on which Section 64(9) of the Pharmacy Act 2007 shall take effect. Section 64(9) applies in relation to a registered retail pharmacy businesses or medical practice which was lawfully carried out immediately before the passing of the Pharmacy Act 2007 only with effect on and from such later date as is specified by order made by the Minister.
