S.I. No. 475/2010 - Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Notification and Control of Animal Diseases) (Amendment) Order 2010.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

"Iris Oifigiúil" of 8th October, 2010.

I, BRENDAN SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3, 12 and 13 of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (No. 6 of 1966) (as adapted by the Agriculture and Food) (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister Order) 2007 ( S.I. No. 705 of 2007 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Notification and Control of Animal Diseases) (Amendment) Order 2010.

2. The Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Notification and Control of Animal Diseases) Order 2008 ( S.I. No. 101 of 2008 ) is amended-

(a) by the insertion, after Article 4. (6), of-

"(7)This Article does not apply in the case of notification of swine influenza.", and

(a) by the substitution for the Schedule, of-

"Schedule Article 2

1. African horse sickness

2. African swine fever

3. Anthrax

4. Arizona disease

5. Aujeszky's disease

6. Bovine leukosis

7. Brucellosis in ruminating animals (except cattle) and swine

8. Campylobacteriosis (caused by or involving Campylobacter jejuni)

9. Caprine viral arthritis - encephalitis

10. Caseous lymphadenitis

11. Classical swine fever

12. Contagious agalactia

13. Contagious bovine pleuro-pneumonia

14. Contagious equine metritis

15. Diseases of poultry caused by or involving Yersinia spp

16. Dourine

17. Enzootic abortion of ewes

18. Epizootic haemorrhagic disease of deer

19. Epizootic lymphangitis in horses, asses and mules

20. Equine encephalomyelitis

21. Equine infectious anaemia

22. Equine piroplasmosis

23. Equine viral arteritis

24. Fowl pest (other than avian influenza and Newcastle disease)

25. Fowl typhoid (Salmonella gallinarum)

26. Glanders (farcy) in horses, asses or mules

27. Goat pox

28. Hendra virus

29. Infectious laryngo-tracheitis

30. Johne's disease in cattle, goats, sheep, other ruminating animals and swine

31. Lumpy skin disease

32. Maedi Visna

33. Mycoplasmosis (caused by or involving Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma meleagridis or Mycoplasma synovia)

34. Newcastle disease

35. Parasitic mange

36. Peste des petits ruminants

37. Porcine corona virus

38. Porcine enterovirus encephalomyelitis (Teschen disease)

39. Porcine epidemic diarrhoea

40. Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome

41. Psittacosis

42. Pullorum disease, otherwise known as Bacillary White Diarrhoea (Salmonella pullorum)

43. Pulmonary adenomatosis

44. Rift Valley fever

45. Rinderpest (cattle plague)

46. Salmonellosis (caused by or involving Salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella hadar, Salmonella infantis, Salmonella virchow or Salmonella typhimurium)

47. Scrapie

48. Sheep pox

49. Sheep scab

50. Surra (Trypansoma evansi)

51. Swine influenza

52. Swine vesicular disease

53. Transmissible gastro-enteritis

54. Transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (other than scrapie and bovine spongiform encephalopathy)

55. Tuberculosis in ruminating animals (except cattle)

56. Turkey rhinotracheitis

57. Vesicular stomatitis

58. Warble fly infestation

59. West Nile fever".

3. The Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (First Schedule and Notification) Order 2009 ( S.I. No. 366 of 2009 ) is revoked.
