S.I. No. 217/2012 - Customs-free Airport (Extension of Laws) Regulations 2012.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

"Iris Oifigiúil" of 3rd July, 2012.

I, RICHARD BRUTON, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13 (2) of the Customs-Free Airport Act 1947 (No. 5 of 1947) and with the consent of the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport (as adapted by the Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 141 of 2011 )) and the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Customs-free Airport (Extension of Laws) Regulations 2012.

(2) These Regulations come into operation on 30 June 2012.

2. The Control of Exports (Goods and Technology) Order 2012 ( S.I. No. 216 of 2012 ) shall extend to the Customs-free Airport.

3. The Customs-free Airport (Extension of Laws) Regulations 2009 ( S.I. No. 306 of 2009 ) are revoked.

The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport consents to the making of the foregoing regulations.

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

The effect of these Regulations is to extend the provisions of the Control of Exports (Goods and Technology) Order 2012 ( S.I. No. 216 of 2012 ) to the Customs-free Airport.
