Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 10th May, 2016. | ||
The Minister for Social Protection, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 1 (4) of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2015 (No. 47 of 2015), hereby orders as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2015 (Part 3) (Commencement) Order 2016. | ||
2. The 9th day of May 2016 is appointed as the day on which Part 3 of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2015 (No. 47 of 2015) shall come into operation. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) | ||
This order provides for the commencement of Part 3 of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2015 . | ||
Part 3 provides for amendments to the Pensions Act 1990 to allow the holder of the office of the Financial Services Ombudsman to also hold the office of the Pensions Ombudsman. |
