Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||

I, CHARLES FLANAGAN, Minister for Justice and Equality, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (5) of the Children and Family Relationships Act 2015 (No. 9 of 2015), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Children and Family Relationships Act 2015 (Commencement) Order 2017. | ||
2. In this Order- | ||
“Act of 1964” means the Guardianship of Infants Act 1964 (No. 7 of 1964); | ||
“Act of 2015” means the Children and Family Relationships Act 2015 (No. 9 of 2015). | ||
3. The 31st day of July 2017 is appointed as the day on which paragraph (c) of section 47 of the Act of 2015, other than insofar as section 6(4) of the Act of 1964, amended by that paragraph, relates to section 6(1A) of the Act of 1964, shall come into operation. | ||

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM | ||
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) | ||
The Minister for Justice and Equality has made an order, entitled above, which appoints 31 July 2017 as the date on which paragraph (c) of section 47 of the Act of 2015, other than insofar as section 6(4) of the Act of 1964, amended by that paragraph, relates to section 6(1A) of the Act of 1964, shall come into operation. |
