The Insolvency Service of Ireland, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 and section 20 (as amended by section 40 of the Courts and Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2013 (No. 32 of 2013)) of the Personal Insolvency Act 2012 (No. 44 of 2012), with the consent of the Minister for Justice and Equality, hereby makes the following regulations: | ||
1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Personal Insolvency Act 2012 (Prescribed Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2017. | ||
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 January 2018. | ||
2. The Personal Insolvency Act 2012 (Prescribed Fees) Regulations 2015 ( S.I. No. 620 of 2015 ) are amended in Regulation 6 by substituting “31 December 2020” for “31 December 2017”. | ||
The Minister for Justice and Equality consents to the making of the foregoing Regulations. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) | ||
These Regulations provide for a waiver of fees for any application made in relation to a Debt Relief Notice, a Protective Certificate in relation to a Debt Settlement Arrangement, and an application for a Protective Certificate in relation to a Personal Insolvency Arrangement. The Regulation shall come into operation on 1 January 2018 and shall operate on or before 31 December 2020. |
