Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 4th September, 2020. | ||
I, PASCHAL DONOHOE, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 27 (2) of the Consumer Insurance Contracts Act 2019 (No. 53 of 2019), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Consumer Insurance Contracts Act 2019 (Commencement) Order 2020. | ||
2. In this Order, “Act” means the Consumer Insurance Contracts Act 2019 (No. 53 of 2019). | ||
3. The 1stday of September 2020 is appointed as the day on which the Act, other than – | ||
(a) subsection (4) of section 18, and | ||
(b) the provisions of the Act specified in Article 4, | ||
shall come into operation. | ||
4. The 1st day of September 2021 is appointed as the day on which sections 8, 9 and 12 and subsections (1) to (5) of section 14 of the Act shall come into operation. | ||
