Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||

I, Eoghan Murphy, Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 2 of the Citizens’ Assemblies Act 2019 (No. 25 of 2019), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Citizens’ Assemblies Act 2019 (Commencement) Order 2019. | ||
2. The 6th day of August 2019 is appointed to be the day on which the Citizens’ Assemblies Act 2019 (No. 25 of 2019) shall come into operation. | ||

This Order brings into operation the provisions of the Citizens‘ Assemblies Act 2019 which provides for the use of information in the register of electors for selecting members of certain Citizens’ Assemblies. |
