I, EAMON RYAN, Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3)(a) of section 29 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020), and being of the opinion that it is appropriate to do so having regard to the matters specified in paragraphs (a) to (d) of subsection (4) of that section as they relate to the State body to which the following order applies, and having consulted with the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, hereby orders as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (Section 29)(Commission for Regulation of Utilities)(Designation) Order 2021. | ||
2. In this Order “the Commission for Regulation of Utilities” means the body established by section 8 of the Electricity Regulation Act 1999 . | ||
3. The Commission for Regulation of Utilities is designated for the purposes of section 29 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020). | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||

This Instrument designates the Commission for Regulation of Utilities as a state body for the purposes of holding remote meetings under section 29 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 . |
