Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||

I, OSSIAN SMYTH, Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Circular Economy and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022 (No. 26 of 2022) and the Environment, Climate and Communications (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2023 ( S.I. No. 252 of 2023 ), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Circular Economy and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) (No. 2) Order 2023. | ||
2. In this Order, “Act of 2022” means the Circular Economy and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022 (No. 26 of 2022). | ||
3. The 29th day of June 2023 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Act of 2022 shall come into operation: | ||
(a) section 6; | ||
(b) sections 11 to 14. | ||
4. The 1st day of July 2023 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Act of 2022 shall come into operation: | ||
(a) sections 5(1) and (3); | ||
(b) sections 8 and 9; | ||
(c) section 16(a); | ||
(d) section 17; | ||
(e) section 22; | ||
(f) sections 24 and 25; | ||
(g) sections 27 to 31; | ||
(h) section 33. | ||
