Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||

The Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 1 (5) of the Social Welfare and Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2024 (No. 6 of 2024), following consultation with the Minister for Social Protection and the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, hereby orders as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare and Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2024 (Chapter 2 of Part 4) (Commencement) Order 2024. | ||
2. The 12th day of March 2024 is appointed as the day on which Chapter 2 of Part 4 of the Social Welfare and Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2024 (No. 6 of 2024) shall come into operation. | ||

This Order appoints 12 March 2024 as the date on which Chapter 2 of Part 4 of the Social Welfare and Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2024 comes into operation. Chapter 2 of Part 4 of the Act amends section 60 (Temporary Protection) of the International Protection Act 2015 . |
