HEALTH AND PERSONAL SOCIAL SERVICES (NORTHERN IRELAND) ORDER 1972 - SECT 43

43. The Ministry may conduct or promote, or assist (by grant or otherwise) any
person in conducting, research into

(a)any matter relating to the causation, prevention, diagnosis or treatment of
illness, or into such other matters relating to the health services as it
thinks fit;

(b)any matter relating to the personal social services.
