Seal, style, and acts of Ministry. 2. The following provisions shall have effect with respect to each Ministry named as aforesaid, that is to say: (1)The Ministry shall be a body corporate with a capacity to acquire and hold land for the purpose of the powers or duties of the Ministry, and shall be styled by the name set forth in the first column of the schedule to this Act.... (2)The Ministry shall have an official seal which shall be officially and judically noticed, and that seal shall be authenticated by the signature of the Minister or of a secretary or assistant secretary of the Ministry. (3)In the execution or performance of its powers or duties the Ministry shall adopt and use the style and seal of the Ministry: Provided that the Minister may authorise the use of a special designation by any officer, officers or committee to whom any specified powers or duties have been assigned by him under this Act. (4)Subject to the provisions of this Act, any power or duty of the Ministry may be exercised or performed by the Minister or by a secretary or assistant secretary of the Ministry. (5)The provisions of this Act with respect to a secretary or assistant secretary of the Ministry shall apply to (a)any officer of the Ministry who is appointed to be secretary or assistant secretary thereof; and (b)any parliamentary secretary or assistant parliamentary secretary of the Ministry.
