Guardians may pay expences of prosecuting offenders. 17. It shall be lawful for the guardians of any union to pay any expence reasonably incurred in following, apprehending, or prosecuting any person guilty of any offence against the provisions of the said first-recited Act, or of any Act or Acts to amend the same.
