The Department for Social Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 109 of the Housing (Northern Ireland) Order 2003[1] and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Home Repair Assistance Grant (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st February 2004.
Amendment of the Home Repair Assistance Grant Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003
2.
- (1) In regulation 1(2) of the Home Repair Assistance Grant Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003[2] for the definition of "pension credit" substitute the following -
"
"pension credit" means the guarantee credit element of state pension credit under section 2 of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002[3];".
(2) In regulation 2(1) after the words "housing benefit" insert ", pension credit,".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations.)
These Regulations amend the Home Repair Assistance Grant Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 by adding the guarantee element of State Pension Credit to the list of benefits or credits that an applicant must be entitled to before an application for Home Repair Assistance Grant can be accepted by the Housing Executive.
