Coming into operation
at 4.00 a.m. on 24th May 2021
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (Amendment No. 3) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 and shall come into operation at 4.00 a.m. on 24th May 2021.
(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations” means the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021( 3).
2. The principal Regulations are amended in accordance with regulations 3 to 5.
3. In Schedule 2 (Green list countries – exempt countries, territories, and parts of countries or territories), at the appropriate places in alphabetical order, insert “Australia”, “Brunei”, “Falkland Islands”, “Faroe Islands”, “Gibraltar”, “Iceland”, “Israel and Jerusalem”, “New Zealand”, “Portugal”, “Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha”, “Singapore” and “South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands”.
4.—(1) In Part 1 of Schedule 4 (Persons who are exempt), in the table, in entry 5 for “seaman” substitute “seamen”;
(2) In Part 2—
(a) in sub-paragraph 17(1), after “2007” insert “unless they have travelled to Northern Ireland to work, or have been repatriated to Northern Ireland after working, on board a cruise ship”;
(b) in paragraph 19, after “course of their work” insert “unless they have travelled to Northern Ireland to work on board a cruise ship or after completing work on board a cruise ship”.
5. In Schedule 8 (Prohibition on arrival of aircraft and vessels), in paragraph 2 for “No countries or territories are specified in this paragraph.” substitute “Turkey”.

These Regulations amend the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 (“the principal Regulations”).
Schedule 2 (Green list countries – exempt countries, territories and parts of countries or territories) is amended to include Australia, Brunei, Falkland Islands, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Iceland, Israel and Jerusalem, New Zealand, Portugal, Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, Singapore and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.
Schedule 4 (Persons who are exempt) is amended to exclude seafarers and inspectors and surveyors of ships who work on cruise ships from the exemptions for such roles from the requirements imposed by Schedule 7 to those Regulations (Managed self-isolation for red list arrivals).
A typographical error in entry 5 in the table in Part 1 of Schedule 4 is amended.
Schedule 8 (Prohibition on arrival of aircraft and vessels) is amended to prohibit the arrival of vessels from Turkey.
No impact assessment has been prepared for these Regulations.
