The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Amendment (Scotland) Order 2006

  Made 11th June 2006 
  Coming into force 16th June 2006 

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 7 and 23(f) and (g) of the Animal Health Act 1981[1], and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Title, commencement and extent
     1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Amendment (Scotland) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 16th June 2006.

    (2) This Order extends to Scotland only.

Amendments to the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978
    
2. The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978[2] is amended as follows–

Revocation
     3. The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Amendment (No. 2) (Scotland) Order 2005[3]is revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order, which applies in Scotland only, amends the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 (S.I. 1978/32) and revokes the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (No. 2) (Scotland) Order 2005 (S.S.I. 2005/587). It comes into force on 16thJune 2006.

The Order substitutes for Schedules 1 and 2 to the 1978 Order the Schedules 1 and 2 set out in this Order. Schedule 1 lists disinfectants approved by the Scottish Ministers and Schedule 2 lists disinfectants which are approved for use only during a transitional period until 15th September 2006.

This Order was notified in draft to the European Commission in accordance with Directive 98/34/EC, as amended by Directive 98/48/EC.

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on the costs of business.
