(This note is not part of the Act of Sederunt)
This Act of Sederunt amends the Act of Sederunt (Commissary Business) 1975 by substituting Livingston for Linlithgow in the list of places where commissary business may be conducted.
This amendment is necessary in light of the amendments made by the Scottish Ministers in the Sheriff Court Districts Amendment Order 2009, the effect of which will be that Livingston Sheriff Court will become Livingston Sheriff Court District and Livingston will be the only place where a sheriff court will be held in that district.
1876 c.70. Section 54 was repealed, except in so far as it relates to commissary regulations, by the Sheriff Courts (Scotland) Act 1907 (c.51), Schedule 2. Section 54 was amended by the Public Records (Scotland) Act 1937 (c.43), Schedule 2 and the Sheriff Courts (Scotland) Act 1971 (c.58), Schedule 1, paragraph 1. Back [1]
