Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (Health Professionals) (Health Service Lists) Regulations 2010 and come into force on the same day as section 44 of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
2.–(1) The suitability for inclusion in any list prepared by virtue of section 17P or for the purposes of Part II of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978(3), of an individual who is–
(a) a dental practitioner undertaking to provide or assisting with the provision of general dental services;
(b) a medical practitioner or an ophthalmic optician undertaking to provide or assisting with the provision of general ophthalmic services;
(c) a person undertaking to provide pharmaceutical services; or
(d) a person performing a primary medical service,
is prescribed for the purposes of section 73(g) of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
