The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 33(2)(a) and (3)(a) and 36(1) of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
1.-(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Criminal Legal Aid (Scotland) (Fees) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 2012 and come into force on 18th December 2012.
(2) These Regulations apply only to fees for work done and outlays incurred on or after 18th December 2012.
2. In regulation 3A(g) of the Criminal Legal Aid (Scotland) (Fees) Regulations 1989(2), for "1998" substitute "1988".

These Regulations amend the Criminal Legal Aid (Scotland) (Fees) Regulations 1989 to correct an erroneous reference to an Act in regulation 3A. Regulation 3A was inserted by the Criminal Legal Aid (Scotland) (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2012.
1986 c.47. Relevant amendments to section 33(2) were made by section 67 of the Legal Profession and Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 2007 (asp 5). The functions of the Secretary of State were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c.46).
