    APPEARANCES

For the Appellant No appearance or
    representation by or on
    behalf of the Appellant
For the Respondent The Respondent in person

    JUDGE D SEROTA QC

  1. We have received a communication from the Appellant that she does not intend to be present at the hearing, neither is she represented. She says she cannot attend the hearing because she is extremely stressed and emotionally ill-equipped for the hearing.
  2. Unfortunately, so far as we can tell, we have not received a Skeleton Argument from her and although, when the matter came on 23 June before this Tribunal and permission was given for the matter to be taken further forward. She was ordered to lodge a Skeleton Argument. We note that on that occasion, Mrs Coad did not appear either, but a fax was received from the Citizens Advice Bureau, setting out her case.
  3. We have had no such assistance and it seems to us that as Mrs Coad is not here to argue her case, the appeal should stand dismissed and it is unnecessary for us to investigate, and we do not propose to investigate the merits, or otherwise, of the appeal.
