21 July 2005, Local government (Borough council)
Having inspected information contained within particular planning application files, the complainant requested copies of various documents from these files. He was charged £188 for provision of the information under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 and complained that this charge was excessive. The Commissioner's decision is that the Council has satisfied itself that its charges do not exceed a reasonable amount in accordance with Part 2, paragraph 8(3) of the Regulations.
