Summary: The complainant requested information regarding the number of people from Northern Ireland who received treatment at a specified London clinic in 2010. The Health and Social Care Board (-HSCB-) refused to disclose the requested information as it stated that it was exempt under section 41(1) of the Act (information provided in confidence). The Commissioner finds that the exemption at section 41(1) is engaged in relation to the requested information. The Commissioner also finds that the HSCB breached section 17(1) of the Act in its handling of the request. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2011/0243 allowed.
