Summary: The complainant has requested information relating to car parking at Wimbledon Park and Morden Park during Wimbledon tennis fortnight in June 2011. London Borough of Merton (the -council-) provided some of the requested information but refused to provide details of income received for parking at Morden Park citing the exemption for commercial interests. The Commissioner-s decision is that the council has correctly applied the commercial interests exemption to the withheld information and that the public interest favours maintaining the exemption. The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any steps.
