Summary: The complainant has requested information from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (-the fire service-) relating to Origin Fertilisers (UK) Ltd. The fire service refused to supply requested in formation in reliance of the exemptions provided by sections 24(1) (national security), 31 (law enforcement) and 38 (health and safety) of the FOIA. The Commissioner-s decision is that the fire service is entitled to rely on section 24(1) of the FOIA as the basis for withholding the information sought by the complainant. No steps are required.
