16 June 2014, Local government (County council)
The complainant requested a copy of the Definitive Map for a particular area. Powys County Council (‘the Council’) refused to provide the information citing regulation 6(1)(b) of the EIR as it considered the information requested to be publicly available and easily accessible. The Commissioner’s decision is that the information is publicly available and easily accessible, and therefore regulation 6(1)(b) is engaged. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken.
EIR 6: Not upheld
