BAILII is celebrating 24 years of free online access to the law! Would you consider making a contribution?
No donation is too small. If every visitor before 31 December gives just £1, it will have a significant impact on BAILII's ability to continue providing free access to the law.
Thank you very much for your support!

8 October 2015, Local government (City council)
The complainant has requested information concerning the closed or ended Council Tax accounts where the liable party is deceased and where the account is in credit. The complainant requires this information from 1993 to 2015. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Council is entitled to refuse to comply with the complainant’s request by virtue of section 12 of the FOIA – where to comply with the request would exceed the appropriate limit provided by section 3(2) of the Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004. The Commissioner requires the public authority to take no further action in respect of this matter.
FOI 12: Not upheld
