Belfast City Council

The complainant has requested information regarding legal advice sought, as well as correspondence and documentation about the erection of bilingual signage at Olympic Leisure Centre. Belfast City Council (the “Council”) cited section 42(1) of FOIA to withhold the requested information. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Council has correctly applied section 42(1) of FOIA and does not require the public authority to take any steps.

FOI 42: Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 174101
