Summary
The application relates to a two-sided vehicle number plate where the background colour of the display makes the sex, age or martial status of the driver immediately apparent to other road users. A quick-release mechanism allows the plate to be reversed to present a differently coloured background when a driver of the opposite sex takes control of the vehicle. The invention is distinguished from the prior art by virtue of the information conveyed by the background colour of the plate. This distinction serves no technical purpose.
