Summary
The application concerns the use of zinc in the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases. The Hearing Officer followed the guidance in Prendergast's Applications and concluded that the claims lacked the required level of support. The Hearing Officer also compared the treatment with that in two citations and found that the claims also lacked the required novelty and inventive step. The application was refused.
