In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Overseas Service Act 1958 and Article 2 of the Department of Technical Co-operation Order 1961(1), I hereby, with the consent of the Treasury, make the following Order:-
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Overseas Service Superannuation (Amendment) Order 1964 and shall be construed as one with the Overseas Service Superannuation Orders 1961 and 1962(2).
(2) This Order and the Overseas Service Superannuation Orders 1961 and 1962 may be cited together as the Overseas Service Superannuation Orders 1961 to 1964.
(3) This Order shall come into operation on 15th January 1964.
2. Paragraph 26(3) of the Overseas Service Superannuation Order 1961 is amended by the substitution for head (b) of the following head-

Under the Overseas Service Superannuation Order 1961, as amended, provision is made for the payment of pensions or gratuities to or in respect of officers to whom the Overseas Service Act 1958 applies, in respect of their service under the United Kingdom Government.
In order that such officers may continue to be " contracted out " of the United Kingdom Graduated Pension Scheme, this Order amends the 1961 Order by providing for the change in the rate of equivalent pension benefits in the said Scheme made by section 3(2) of the National Insurance Act 1963 (1963 c.7).
