FAIR TRADING

The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred by section 140(3) of the Fair Trading Act 1973 hereby orders as follows:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Fair Trading Act 1973 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1973.
2. Except as otherwise provided by the Fair Trading Act 1973 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1973(1) the Fair Trading Act 1973 shall come into operation on 1st November 1973 and, accordingly, all the provisions thereof which have not previously come into operation shall come into operation on that date.

By the Fair Trading Act 1973 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1973 the provisions of the Fair Trading Act 1973 which relate to Pyramid Selling and similar Trading Schemes were brought into operation on 14th September 1973. This Order provides that all other provisions of the Act shall come into operation on 1st November 1973.
