The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 6(2) of the Biological Weapons Act 1974, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Biological Weapons Act 1974 (Isle of Man) Order 1974 and shall come into operation on 22nd July 1974.
2. The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
3. The provisions of the Biological Weapons Act 1974 shall extend to the Isle of Man subject to the exceptions, adaptations and modifications specified in the Schedule hereto.

1. Subject as hereinafter provided and save where the context otherwise requires any reference to the Biological Weapons Act 1974 or to any other Act of Parliament shall be construed as a reference thereto as it has effect in the Isle of Man.
2. For section 2 there shall be substituted the following:-
"2.-(1) Proceedings for an offence under section 1 above shall not be instituted except by or with the consent of the Attorney General for the Isle of Man;
(2) Subsection (1) above shall not prevent the issue or execution of a warrant for the arrest of any person in respect of an offence or the remanding in custody or on bail of any person charged with an offence.".
3. In section 4(1) the words "or in Scotland the Sheriff or a Magistrate or Justice of the Peace is satisfied by evidence on oath" shall be omitted.
4. In section 5 there shall be inserted immediately after the words "Genocide Act 1969" where they occur both in subsection (1) and subsection (2) the words "being Acts of Parliament".
5. Section 6 shall be omitted.
This Order extends the Biological Weapons Act 1974 to the Isle of Man with exceptions, adaptations and modifications.
