INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

The Industrial Training (Transfer of the Activities of Establishments) (No. 2) Order 1974

Coming into Operation

The Secretary of State, on the recommendation of the Manpower Services Commission, and in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 9A(2) of the Industrial Training Act 1964, as inserted by section 6 of, and paragraph 13 of Part I of Schedule 2 to, the Employment and Training Act 1973, hereby makes the following Order:-

Title and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Industrial Training (Transfer of the Activities of Establishments) (No. 2) Order 1974 and shall come into operation on 1st October 1974.

Interpretation

2.-(1) In this Order unless the context otherwise requires "the Act" means the Industrial Training Act 1964, as amended by the Employment and Training Act 1973.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply to the interpretation of this Order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Transfer of Establishments' Activities

3. The activities carried on at the establishment specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order, being an establishment of an employer in the industry of an industrial training board, shall, instead of being included for the purposes of the Act in the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 2 of that Schedule, be included for those purposes in the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 3 of that Schedule.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order transfers the activities of the establishments specified in column 1 of the Schedule from the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 2 of the Schedule to the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 3 of the Schedule.
