TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT SOCIAL SECURITY
PENSIONS

30th June 1982
The Secretary of State for Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 48(3) of the Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1982, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following order:-
1. This order may be cited as the Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1982 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1982.

This order brings into force on 6th April 1983 all those provisions of the Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1982 which relate to statutory sick pay and which did not come into force on the passing of the Act, and (with a minor exception) all those provisions which relate to the abolition of injury benefit. It does not bring into force any of the provisions of the Act which relate to housing benefit and associated matters. It brings into force the remaining, miscellaneous, provisions of the Act on various dates in 1982.
