In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 76(3) of the Administration of Justice Act 1982 and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I hereby make the following order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Administration of Justice Act 1982 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1984.
2. Sections 12 and 14(2), and section 75, so far as it relates to the Damages (Scotland) Act 1976, of the Administration of Justice Act 1982 shall come into force on 1st September 1984.

This Order brings into operation the following provisions of the Administration of Justice Act 1982:-
(a) section 12 (award of provisional damages for personal injuries: Scotland);
(b) section 14(2) (repeal of section 5 of, and amendment of sections 4 and 6 of, the Damages (Scotland) Act 1976); and
(c) section 75 (repeals and revocations) so far as it relates to the Damages (Scotland) Act 1976.
The following provisions of the Act have been brought into force by commencement order made before the date of this Order:-
