The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 99(1) of the Supreme Court Act 1981; by section 96 of the Bankruptcy Act 1914; and by section 512(4) of the Companies Act 1985, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Courts (Amendment No. 2) Order 1986 and shall come into operation on 1st October 1986.
2. A district registry of the High Court shall be established at Basingstoke, which district shall be defined by reference to the district of the Basingstoke County Court.
3. A district registry of the High Court shall be established at Milton Keynes, which district shall be defined by reference to the districts of the Aylesbury and Milton Keynes County Courts.
4. For the purposes of section 96(2) of the Bankruptcy Act 1914 and of section 512(4) of the Companies Act 1985 the Milton Keynes County Court shall not be excluded from having jurisdiction under those Acts.
5. The amendments set out in the schedule to this Order shall be made to the Civil Courts Order 1983(1), being amendments that are consequential upon the Civil Courts (Amendment) Order 1986 and the foregoing provisions of this Order.

The Civil Courts Order 1983 shall be amended as follows:-
(1) in Schedule 1:-
(a) in the second column opposite the entry relating to Barrow-in-Furness District Registry the words "and Ulverston" shall be deleted;
(b) after the entry relating to Barrow-in-Furness there shall be inserted the following new entry:

(c) after the entry relating to Middlesbrough there shall be inserted the following new entry:

(d) in the second column opposite the entry relating to the Northampton District Registry the words "Bletchley and Leighton Buzzard" shall be deleted;
(e) in the second column opposite the entry relating to Oxford the word "Aylesbury" shall be deleted;
(f) in the second column opposite the entry relating to Reading the word "Basingstoke" shall be deleted.
(2) in Schedule 3:-
(a) the letters "DR" shall be inserted in the first column beneath the entry relating to Basingstoke;
(b) the letters "DR" shall be inserted in the first column beneath the entry relating to Milton Keynes;
(c) in column 4, opposite the entry relating to Milton Keynes in column 1, the word "Northampton" shall be deleted;
(d) in column 2, opposite the entry relating to Milton Keynes in column 1 shall be added the word "Bankruptcy".
This Order amends the Civil Courts Order 1983 by:
(a) establishing district registries of the High Court at Basingstoke and Milton Keynes, the latter to include the current districts of both the Milton Keynes and Aylesbury County Courts.
(b) granting jurisdiction in bankruptcy and winding-up of companies to the Milton Keynes County Court.
